"We’ll have “postcard moments” at the Eiffel Tower or the Colosseum in Rome, but VADO is more interested in seeing how far we can push the overall academic experience for each individual trip. "
Ryan Foose, EuGo - Sr. Experience Advisor
Our beliefs coincide with scientific findings; people remember personal experiences more when they engage with stories, emotion and places.
Emotion
When we have an emotional experience, the brain actually takes in more detail to form a stronger memory. Connecting students intimately with culture and history means a higher chance of vivid memories.
Place
Place has a strong role in experience and memory. People tend to connect a trip through place, whether that be a specific shop, a full building, a long street or the senses of a city/country, in general.
Story
The brain pays more attention with the information it’s receiving is in the form of a narrative. So instead of students just going from place to place, EuGo connects the overall trip into one teachable story.
